Dr. Britt J. Parvus
Dr. Britt J. Parvus, a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in managing diseases of the retina, completed her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, where she majored in Nutrition Science. She then earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology and was appointed chief resident. Dr. Parvus was then honored with an ocular oncology fellowship and selected among her peers to serve as chief fellow at Wills Eye Hospital. She then completed a second fellowship in medical retina at Sinclair Retina Associates, P.C.
Her clinical interests include macular degeneration, ocular tumors, and vascular conditions of the retina including diabetic retinopathy and vein occlusions. She deeply values the relationships she builds with her patients and is passionate about restoring and maintaining their precious vision.
Dr. Parvus maintains memberships in both regional and national medical societies including the Wills Eye Hospital Society, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, and the Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmic Society.
Recognized for her medical and humanitarian efforts, Dr. Parvus volunteers at Haiti Clinic, Inc., a free clinic that provides access to medications and physicians as well as basic necessities such as clean water, adequate nutrition, education, and sanitation. She has been instrumental in the development of health services to the population that Haiti Clinic serves.
Outside of work, Dr. Parvus enjoys being active as well as spending time with family and friends. She recently returned to the Philadelphia area, not just to be closer to her beloved Phillies, but also to be closer to her Philadelphia-born fiancé, and she is happy to be back!
