Riddle Eye Associates was formed in 1989 and has occupied the present office space since that time. Dr. Jaeger and Dr. Palena initially were associated with the Media Clinic at Providence and Beatty Roads in Media, Pa and subsequently with the Clinic Unit that was established at Riddle. With the closing of the Media Clinic, Dr.’s Jaeger and Palena established an independent practice at Riddle in 1981. Dr. Antonello joined the practice in 1989.
We are dedicated to providing quality comprehensive ophthalmologic care for our patients. The scope of our care includes visual correction by refraction, all of the common infections that involve the eye, traumatic injuries, foreign bodies, glaucoma (an increased pressure in the eye) and systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus that may involve the eye.
Dr. Palena brings an additional level of expertise to the practice in the area of diseases that affect the retina. These include retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Dr. Antonello has additional expertise in cataract removal and intraocular lens implantation. He is proficient in the most modern techniques in this very important procedure.
Consultations and co-management with subspecialists in such areas as oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma and corneal disease can be arranged as needed.
